Bobby and Blue Ridge Tradition Take Top Honors!
We were absolutely thrilled when we got the results from the 2011 North Carolina Mountain State Fair. Our band won FIRST PLACE in the bluegrass band competition! Not only that, but Bobby took first place in banjo, Phil took first place in bass, Jim took first place in mandolin and vocals and Rich took second place in fiddle! We are totally humbled by this great honor and inspired to continue giving you the best bluegrass music we can make!

We had an absolute ball performing at the 2011 North Carolina Mountain State Fair, held each year at the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher, NC. (Winning the bluegrass band, banjo, bass, mandolin and vocal competitions didn't hurt either!) The fair was once again a success this year, and we were mighty proud to be a part of it.

It was a great honor for us to perform at the Mountain Dance & Folk Festival, held at the Diana Wortham Theater, for our 6th consecutive year. We really enjoyed meeting some new friends, and the sold-out audience was just tremendous. Thank you for the outstanding support you extended to us.

The Street Dances in Downtown Hendersonville on Monday nights are an absolute blast! We've met so many wonderful people there and made some great new friends. Walt Puckett, the square dance caller, is really a master of his craft, and the dancers were just awesome. Come on out & join us for a great evening of free music and dancing. We'll be there on July 6, July 13, August 10 and August 31. Get ready Hendersonville!

Our most recent show at the Feed & Seed in Fletcher was one of the best ever. Everyone who was there really blessed us by showing up and really getting into the music. We had more compliments from all of you than we deserve. The Feed & Seed is an outstanding music venue, taking you back to a simpler time when folks in the community came together for a great evening of good, wholesome fun. We really look forward to playing there again on October 1, 2011.
